We are well into our 5kathon and feeling great. I had to substitute elliptical bike for walking and Meghan is walking home from work but we're getting our time in. Wasn't it cool to see the NFL football players in Monday night's game decked out in pink?!
This Sunday Denver is holding a Race for the Cure 5k so I'll be joining the thousands of men and women who are running and walking. Can't wait! It's for Kristy and those I love infected by breast cancer including my late mother Barbara Dockery, sisters Eileen and Liz, sister-in-law Linda and those that have died - my aunt Betty and friend Melanie Lee Rose, the first woman I knew with this disease.
Breast cancer has no warning and doesn't discriminate. Please wear pink and let others know you want more money and support for research and treatment so that many women do not go uncared for.
